Last Wednesday NECA sat down with Kerry to discuss how and why Iowa State University promotes the use of LEED on all new projects on campus. During the discussion there was a lot of conversation about how LEED has made an impact here on campus, as well as all around the world. Once we finished the discussion we went over to the new LEED gold ABE building. We made our way to the roof to continue the conversation of LEED and was able to see the green roof. On the way down from the roof we stopped to look at the heating and cooling units, and how these units caused for a major decrease in energy used by the building. We continued our way down the building until we finished the tour in the indoor courtyard of the ABE building.
