About Us

The Society of International Engineers (also referred to as SIE) is a group of Engineering students at Iowa State University. Our mission statement is to make the world a smaller place through cultural connections. We pledge to build a strong community of international engineers through studying abroad.

The three main goals of SIE are:

  1. To promote study abroad for ISU students
  2. To welcome ISU students back from studying abroad
  3. To welcome international students to the beautiful Iowa State University Campus and Ames community.

Meet the SIE Cabinet Members:

Octavia | President

Hi everyone! My name is Octavia, and I’m a Senior studying Industrial Engineering and German LCP. I studied abroad in Aachen, Germany during the Summer of 2023. My favorite thing about SIE is getting to meet so many students with different study abroad experiences.
